Your ★ Beauty,
Appearance,
In her ethereal state, Vivienne appears as she had in death (like all ghosts). She had been dressed in a white night gown. The gown had had lace on the top and bottom with silk in between. The straps had been rather thin, more commonly known today as spaghetti straps. The dress, which had once been pristine and white, is now dingy as well as sopping wet. Her hair has slight curls in it, water dripping from its ringlets. Purple marks are able to be seen on the back of her shoulder from where her husband had held her down. Vivi’s feet are bare, for she had been wearing no shoes nor slippers at the time of her death. Though she is a ghost, she is not just a ghastly pale version of her human self. Oh no, she is more like a ‘transparent’ version of her human self. And one that is hell bent on getting back at the Eldridge family line.[/ul]
OVERALL PERSONALITY
After death took her, another side of Vivienne became apparent. That sickly sweet girl was almost no more. Of course, there are times when it can be glimpsed, it rarely was. After she died, she became a rather malevolent spirit. A bit of a hostile nature came forth and she became hell bent on getting even. She had been murdered! Drowned by the man she had pretty much given her life away for! And he had killed her. He had turned her from the sweet and loving human girl that she had once been and, inevitably, created the vindictive and hateful ghost that now is. Vivienne can be rather sadistic at times now, especially when she comes across one of the descendants of Trevor Eldridge. Though she was not able to get even with her husband, she is certain that she can get back at him through those that carry his blood. The spirit is rather discriminatory against those that carry the blood of Trevor.
She is a ghost that has not completely come to accept the truth about herself. Yes, she is well aware that she is dead and even more aware that her husband had been the cause of it. But what she doesn’t like to think about is the fact that she may never find peace. She cannot find solitude in the fact that he husband is dead because he never really paid for his crime. But how can he pay for a crime if he is no longer alive? The truth (to her) is that she will never, ever move on and that she will forever have to stay on the planet in purgatory until she can get even with the man himself. But his family may be a good enough substitute. Though she highly doubts it.
One last thing about her is that she still does have a little bit of her original self in her. Though, like stated, it is rarely seen. The only time it has ever really been seen is when she is watching over her own family. Well, relatives. They are the grand children (and great grand children) of her brothers. Most still carry the ‘de Roux’ name. She tries to watch out for them from time to time, though it seems that most of them can’t see her. This protective side of Vivienne is hard for her to really control. It may seem strange, yes, but she just can’t help herself. Living or deceased, family is still important to her. And so is her families safety.[/ul]
Background ★ Info,
History,
François is only five years older than Vivienne. Vivienne’s birth had been much more complicated than it should have been. For one, Vivienne had been a few weeks too early. A few being five to six weeks. She was lucky to still be alive. Though she was supposed to be due February twelfth, Vivienne Lynn de Roux was born on December twenty first, eighteen ninety-nine. Not only had she been early, though, Vivienne had also been rather… complicated when birthing. She had put her mother through quite some pain. But, in Aurore’s eyes, it had been completely worth it.
François was always trying to be a bad influence upon Vivienne, often doing things such as stealing from his parents and then finding ways to pin it on poor Vivienne. But her parents never really bought it. They always seemed to know. Vivienne, however, did sometimes do some rather bad things. But only because she looked up to François and didn’t really understand at the time that, what she was doing, was not the right thing to do. No one can blame a little girl for not having good common sense.
Jacques was two years after Vivienne and, thankfully for her, François went from terrorizing her to terrorizing Jacques. The two brothers got along amazingly and, when Gabriel was born, the three were inseparable. The only bad thing was that they had sort of left Vivienne all alone. Of course, François would always be protective of her, all of them were, they didn’t really spend that much time with her. She often stayed to herself, or with her mother.
It was the time with her mother that she would grow to cherish. Her mother taught her everything that she needed to know. Well, when it came to house hold chores and cooking. Viv had always been a fast learner and she did grow tired of learning how to cook and clean like a ‘proper lady’. While her mother was teaching her how to be proper, her father was teaching her how to read and write. Honestly, Vivienne absolutely adored her life.
Growing up hadn’t been all that eventful. Vivienne had grown to love reading at a young age. And she was homeschooled. Other than that, though, nothing ever seemed to happen in her life. At least nothing had ever seemed to be interesting or intriguing in her life. At least not until she turned seventeen.
When Vivienne was seventeen, she had met Trevor Eldridge for the first time. Trevor was from England and had just moved across the street with his family. He was also about seven years older than her. The first time Vivienne had seen him, she was mesmerized. The Englishman was dashing, his charm just too much for her to resist. The perfect little angel started to sneak out every night just to see him, just to be able to talk to him. She didn’t think about how much trouble she might get in for sneaking out.
As the years went by, Vivienne was starting to get into more and more trouble. She was getting a little more rebellious. Even her siblings were getting worried about her. When she was twenty one, her parents told her that she was going to be having an arranged marriage. Who was her betrothed, though? A man named Gaston LeBeau. Vivienne had never met the man before and she honestly didn’t want to ever meet him! That night, she had gone out, like usual, and told Trevor everything. It had been then that Trevor had proposed to her.
Viv, of course, had been ecstatic! They decided to keep it a secret. Vivienne would pack over the next few weeks and bring her stuff over to him without her parents knowing. Then, when she had all of her stuff to him, they would run away together and live the rest of their lives together! It didn’t exactly happen that way.
For one, they never left Saint Calais. They had just gone to the other side of it, as if that was far enough. And then, only hours after Vivienne de Roux became Vivienne Eldridge, the worst thing to happen to her happened. Her husband murdered her, drowning her in a bathtub when she was getting ready for bed. The thing is, if Vivienne had actually drained the tub when she had finished her bath, she would probably still be alive. Well, maybe not, but she would have lived a full life. Or maybe not. Trevor had drowned her. His motives were never clear. To think, Vivienne had been in love with Trevor, had trusted him.
Vivienne didn’t pass peacefully, of course. She wouldn’t be here still if she had. No, she wanted revenge. But she never was able to get it. She would have just liked to see him get caught or see him die a death worse than hers. Alas, Trevor had died of natural causes. Vivienne has been watching his family, hoping that they would find out the horrible truth, hope that one of his bastard children, his demonic grand children would at least suffer in his stead. If only that could happen.
If only he had been caught, if only someone had found her body. If only, if only, if only. But if only never happens in real life. Just fairy tales and Brothers Grimm stories.
