Appearance;
Jacob stands around five foot, ten inches and weighs a lean 167 lbs. He is very lanky looking, appearing to barely have any muscles on him because of his fast metabolism and lack of exercise. His skin is pale because he rarely ever goes outside - he prefers to stay inside and work on his projects. Jacob's hair is a medium brown and is always going in every which direction. He is running his hands through it constantly, so it's always very messy and fluffy looking. His eyes are a very dark brown and are sometimes hidden behind thick rimmed glasses.
Personality;
Jacob has a rather complex personality. He is self-loathing, but at the same time, is incredibly egotistical and narcissistic. Jacob is extremely intelligent and he doesn’t have too much patience for those that aren’t at his level. He has very little patience and an incredibly bad temper, which is a bad combination, particularly because of his abilities. Despite his broken family, he holds them very close to his heart and would do anything for them, especially his younger sister. He rarely gets to see her now that he’s out of high school, but he does what he can to see her and make sure that no one is causing her any trouble. Past his tough exterior, Jacob does have a really good heart and he will do the right thing when he has to, even if it might take some convincing. He has a very prankster-like personality and he often uses his powers in order to trick people for his own amusement. It really amuses him when people get so scared when they see something floating in midair or if something suddenly disappears. He takes his music very seriously and absolutely hates to be interrupted when he’s in the middle of creating.
History;
Jacob Phillip Roberts was born on April 17 to Phillip and Scarlett Roberts. By the time he was three years old, the family had another child – a girl that they named Julia. Jacob didn’t take to her very well because it took the attention away from him. However, by the time he was six years old, they connected and began to nicely play together.
By the time Jacob started attending elementary school, he had developed a bit of an ego. This made it difficult for him to make friends because it made people not want to be around him. He also had a bad habit of correcting people and being a bit of a know-it-all, even at a young age. Jacob started to learn to do things by himself to keep himself occupied: reading, writing, playing music. When he turned ten, his parents finally signed him up for piano lessons. He attended lessons at one of the local music stores, which was where he met a boy who would soon become one of his best friends, Vincent Dorée. Vincent was one year older than Jacob and he was working on guitar lessons. Despite their personality differences, they became very close friends.
A few years past and Jacob, unlike his younger sister, caught onto the fact that their parents were fighting more and more often and they were getting more and more heated. When he was fourteen years old, they announced that they would be getting a divorce. This made Jacob incredibly angry. He chose to live with his father, whom he got along with a little bit better. This didn't necessarily make him happy, though, especially since Julia had decided to stay with their mother. They were able to see each other at school, but it really wasn't the same.
During all of this emotional turmoil, Jacob realized that he had psychic, telekinetic powers. He began to practice using them and he used them to play pranks on people, instead of what may have been the responsible thing and used them to help people. Jacob barely graduated because he just didn't try in school. He took up a job at the local music store, where he first started his lessons and has been working there for a few years.
