OVERALL PERSONALITY
Lilly does not fully enjoy the fact that she is a vampire, but quietly accepts it as being her fate. Despite this calmness and inner peace that seems to surround Lilly, being a Vampire, there is a deeply hidden predatory side to her. She has managed to bring herself to the point when she can go a week and a half on little amounts of human blood. Although, when she has not fed, she becomes brooding, sullen, quick tempered and manipulative. She negates this by feeding on small amounts of blood from people that are regarded as 'trash' by societal standards. This means that she resists and keeps under tight control behaviour that is deemed 'cruel' or 'violent' under her well kept façade of control and will only indulge in the necessities of maintaining her life when necessary. Often her victims do not have time to express their horror when her inner savage comes out. She is also a force to be reckoned with when individuals she cares for are threatened.
As an accomplished musician and dancer, she particularly enjoys all forms of art and their histories, and can easily be found in museums or theatres. She feels that it provides her with a certain sense of nostalgia. She also enjoys exploring and finding unusual and beautiful locations. Lilly also particularly loves the smell of Cinnamon, Chai, Wine and interestingly enough the ocean. Liliya is mostly drawn to people that have a worldliness to them or an appreciation for the arts or beauty in general. She disapproves of people that are brash or excessive in any form of the word. However, she will often hold her tongue out of politeness, or will find a way to subtly insult them.

Background ★ Info,
History,
Born on a cold December evening on the border of Russia and Poland in 1897 to a Russian man of the lesser nobility and a French mother who was upper-class bourgeois, Liliya was the third daughter, and sixth of the seven children of the Borovsky family. Because of a kind deed that her father had done for the Tsar, the family had been dubbed nobles and given a plot of land near a village located in the Russian controlled territory of Poland. It was an impoverished village, and the manor - though, considered to be a beautiful, grand castle to the peasants - was small and slightly worn down. Despite the continued instability of the area in general over the time period, the family managed to live a peaceful existence. It wasn't until the revolution started that any signs of the instability and discontentment of not only her small village, but the Russian Empire had reached a fevered pitch.
News of the Royal Family's death had just reached the village, Liliya was twenty and had already lost her father and eldest brother to the Bolshevik insurgents. With only her mother and her surviving siblings, it quickly became apparent to her that they would not survive: apart from her eldest sister who had married off to an English man and was living in America after surviving the sinking of the Titanic.
Seeing a chance to separate themselves entirely from the Russian Empire and 'strike a blow' for the Bolsheviks by slaughtering the very thing they sought to overthrow: the hierarchy, the villagers stormed the Borovsky household. They ruthlessly culled the family as they attempted to flee into the surrounding woods. Liliya was the only one that survived the initial assault, she had managed to find a hollowed out tree that she hid in moments before the peasant mob came looking for her, before deciding that the cold would kill her. It was by chance that her sire-to-be had saw her family being murdered moments before hand and took pity on her. He felt that such a beautiful young woman didn't deserve to die in such a violent or undignified way and saved her life by knocking her unconscious and carrying her off through the forest to his own little remote hut. Over the next week, he nursed her back to health and gave her the opportunity to grant her with the ability to get revenge for her family.
Being overcome with grief and anger that this atrocity had been committed, she willingly accepted without realising the consequences of her choice. That night, he turned her into a vampire. She doesn't remember much of the transformation, apart from it being a painful. When she awoke, the girl felt reborn and horrified. She could feel the necessary strength that she would need for her revenge coursing through her veins...but at what cost?
She shortly found out when she experienced her first pangs of hunger. Travelling back to her village with her sire, they managed to lure almost all of the perpetrators of the murders out of their home and drain them of their blood. There was only one young man Liliya could not lure out of his home because of his young wife and child. She left stating she would come back and ruthlessly slaughter him and his wife in front of their child.
Shortly thereafter the two vampires fled Russia entirely: deciding to take up residence in Italy for ten years. During this time period, Liliya went under the pseudo-name of Lilly and dyed her hair a platinum blonde to make herself unrecognisable, on the off chance that someone recognised her. She learnt much about the Vampire way of life due to her sire, and eventually came to resent him for changing her. She figured that if she had just died then she wouldn't have to deal with the death of her family for the rest of eternity. This resentment eventually turned into a hatred, coming to an explosive argument and fight between the two of them. She was nearly killed by him in the fight. She then fled back to Russia, deciding to get her revenge before ending her own cursed existence.
However, when the opportunity came up, she couldn't bring herself to. The look of fear in the child's eyes as she held his father by the throat triggered Liliya's humanity and pity. She dropped the man and declared: "Cherish every breath like a gift and worship me like a saint. For what I am doing for you is a far greater demonstration of humanity than you are worthy of, maggot".
The rest of the 20th century evaporated before the woman as she tried to regain her humanity, and returned to being who she was in her human life. Or as close to what she could be. She travelled across the world, became an accomplished musician and dancer and eventually finding her own inner peace. She ignored the horrors that were committed by the human race, seeking solace in only the artistic achievements of the ages.
She eventually arrived in Saint Calais in the late 50's, and decided to make it her port of call. She could no longer bring herself to ever travel to her home country, where the bones of everyone she ever cared for remained. Returning in the 90's, she decided to settle down for the moment. It was the only place that had felt as much like home as the village of her childhood did. She has no idea what the future has in store for her, apart from that she will just have to continue to endure until the day that she too, will eventually taste the chill of true death. And possibly, that if she should ever run into her sire again, she will kill him for enticing her and causing her to be a murderer.
