If they're a supernatural or a human aware of supernatural creatures' existence, maybe add a bit about how they cope with that.[/ul] Background ★ Info, History, [/color] Sam was in an abusive home from the start. Her father, the lycanthrope, mentally and emotionally abused her mother since they got together four years before she was born. Her mother was in love thought and you know what they say, love makes you do crazy things. That can even include staying in an abusive relationship. When her mother got pregnant she was extremely thrilled with the idea of having a child running around but her father did not want to have be a father or have a half breed for a child as her mother was human. Either way she was born and they kept her. When Sam was little she remembered her mother smiling and laughing during the day, her father was at work so it was almost normal. Then at night when he came home she would be sent to her room and would hear crying or yelling until she was able to fall asleep. It wasn’t until she was older that he started on her, trying to manipulate her and trying to degrade her. It slowly grew worse as she got older and around her thirteenth birthday he got drunk and hit his all-time low. It was about a month before her birthday when he smacked her mother for the first time ever in her life, in their relationship. He was so drunk he didn’t even remember the screaming, the smack, or how he threw bottles at Sammy. At night he would come home drunk and got violent leaving bruises and cuts on her mother and Sam. After about a month or two of this Sam was so scared of her father, scared of the night and at this highly emotional point in her life was when she transformed for the first time under the full moon. Her parents had never told her that her father was a lycanthrope, heck she hadn’t even known they existed. Being half her shift was painful, shrieking could be heard all throughout the neighborhood as she started to turn into an animal. In the end of the extremely painful shift was a wolf, it was smaller than the average. Grey fur streaked with rusted colors and black tipping her tail and ears. The wolf looked too skinny and unhealthy to be any real threat but she was indeed. Panicked the instincts took over and scared her mother half to death. Somehow she managed to be shut into the basement where she wouldn’t hurt anyone until her father came home at the end of the full moon. It was then he helped his daughter through her shift back and explained. He worked with her, still getting drunk and violent but a little less and not at all during the periods before and after the moon. He also helped her master changing at will by the time she was seventeen. With her abusive past she could handle the pain rather well. It wasn’t long after that when Sam got tired of dealing with her father. On the eve of her eighteenth birthday she left her home, called the police and left her small town. From then one she started travelling and taking up small jobs when she needed money. Sam had caught wind of a rumor that her father had OD and her mother was now living happily but she still couldn’t go back. Eventually she made it to Saint Calais, Maine. [/b][/color] Samantha Jade Rider ★ AGE:23 ★ GENDER: Female ★ OCCUPATION: Record Store Clerk in the mall ★ RACE: Half-Lycan [/ul] Your ★ Beauty, Appearance, [/color] Sam’s rather small as a wolf but she thinks that from her half-blood because in human form she on the tall side for a girl, she stands at 5’9. Though she’s skinny she does have some curves on her as her wolf is skinny as well. Her hair is a long dark brown, falling about mid chest in length. That’s one thing that she’s always liked about herself, her hair. Long, dark and thick she’s always gotten complements on. In her wolf form her base color is grey, streaked with black and rusted brown through the fur. Her eyes stay with her in both forms, slightly lighter than her hair color. Her usual style are jeans and a band tee-shirt and sneakers. She’s one for comfort instead of style. Sam as an old leather jacket that comes just about everywhere with her and is worn so its fits just right. [/ul] OVERALL PERSONALITY [/color] For all around every day type of things Sam is really into running and watching sports. But she’s not one to play on a sports team, she doesn’t know why but she just doesn’t like it. She also enjoys painting, hiking, food, animals, and travelling. Though to her likes there are also a lot of dislikes. She hates it when people get violent around her, seeing abuse, being talked down too, being told what to do, and seeing people mistreated. So you could defiantly say she’s independent and not one to take orders. But that’s also strength, being able to stand her ground and be on her own along with her strong running abilities and quick thinking mind. Her weaknesses are social skills, she has a hard time being with someone in private, and a restaurant or park she’s fine. She also can’t stand small spaces, and she’s not trusting. Due to Sam’s hard past she is not the most trusting person in the world. It will take her sometime to warm up to a person and during that time she’ll be a bit cold towards a person. Once she does start to warm up to you and trust you you’ll find a great friend. She’s protective, loyal, and will always be there when she’s needed. But to just about anyone she’s stubborn and will not give up if she starts to believe in something. She also won’t back down she’ll take a challenge and face it head on. But if things start to get violent she will try and calm the person down before doing whatever will keep her safest, though she will try her hardest not to fight. She’s a quick thinking with a tongue to match. So wrapping it all up she’s an athletic person with some social and trust issues but once you crack her hard shell you will find a loyal, protective, and all around great friend to have.
