Appearance;
Raven is light-skinned, with dark hair and light eyes. She gets her hair color from her mother, a Native American, but most of her other features are from her French father. Her eyes change color with what she's wearing, but they're usually the color of the sea, just after a storm. She wears just about anything; dresses, graphic tees, skinny jeans and cargo pants. She likes jewelry, but she doesn't wear much.
In her wolf form, she has a dark pelt with grey highlights. She has expressive amber eyes and a short but attractive muzzle. Her legs and body are long and lean in both forms.
Personality;
Raven prefers to be called "Duskie." She makes it a point to tell everyone she meets as long as they aren't a boss or someone with a similar status. She's not a very serious person, but she knows how to get work done. She enjoys a good laugh, and she loves self-expression. Her greatest strength is her confidence. She's never afraid to do what she thinks is right and she never worries about trivial things like gossip and drama. She can't stand people that whine about things when they can be doing things to fix their own problems. She's not afraid to point this out, either. She fears total darkness and large bodies of water. These fears often hinder her when she's trying to have fun. Her biggest weakness is her art. If someone were to threaten or destroy some of her work, she would probably lose it and attack them. She's rather fearsome when she's angry. While her greatest secret is her wolf form, she often finds herself keeping strange and horrible dreams to herself. She's currently unsure if they are, in fact, dreams, or if they're visions. She doesn't claim to be psychic and in fact scorns the idea.
History;
Raven's story truely begins with her great-grandfather. He was a member of the Wampanoag tribe of Massachusetts who was bitten by a wolf lycanthrope. He turned, and then bit his wife, and their children were also lycanthropes. Raven's mother, born a full lycanthrope, turned her husband, and after about a year their daughter was born. She, of course, is also a lycanthrope. The family name, Duskfire, is really Raven's mother's. Her father, who came from a French background decided to let them keep the name, as Raven's mother is proud of her heritage. However, the name was originally Dusk-Fire, but the young parents wanted their daughter to have a more modern name.
Growing up, Raven was confused by the full moon, and the strange things that happened to her family when it lit up the sky. Not only did her parents act strange, but she herself could hardly remember what she had done on those nights. It frightened the girl until she had a vision as she slept one night. She saw herself and a wolf living together in harmony under the light of a perpetual full moon. When she told her mother, she explained the story of the family's birthright to her child.
Raven was unsure of the wolf inside her until she reached her teens. She started to like it and began to better understand how to control it. She went gothic for a while. She preferred to be called "Duskie" then, and the nickname stuck. It's "cute and a little dark," much like her.
Raven always had a natural talent for drawing, and decided to pursue her passion. She's majoring in art and starting her first year of college. She already paints and draws, but has started to sculpt. She allows her heritage and inner wolf to influence her work, creating scenes of wolves and forests lit by bright moons.
