Plot/Story/Ad: The Beginning
In the beginning there were only the Gods. They were mighty rulers of the heavens, powerful, but became bored with their celestial lifestyles. To them, their heavenly lives had become droll without any creatures to worship or serve them.
This being the case, the Gods decided to create the oceans, five of them. Then they created the land, seven large continents to cover the water. With that, they created vegetation, cold, heat, and lesser creatures. These lesser creatures were dull to the Gods, and seemed mindless, with no want to worship the Gods. Deciding they wanted a more sentient beast to stare in awe at their power, the Gods created the first race-- so the first humans were created. They did not seem to be very interested in 'staring in awe', but they did acknowledge the Gods existence. However, this was not good enough for the Gods, and so there was a new race created, that was very much like the Gods.
This race was known as the Succubi/Incubi; They were devious, well-bred, and beautiful as the sunset. Yet they did not please the Gods either, they were much too interested in devious actions, and tricking others, the humans in particular. They were almost as boring to the Gods as the Humans, who had turned their attentions to creating towns and cities, already very advanced for their years.
With this, the Gods decided -yet another- race was needed. This led the Gods to create their third race. This race was known as the Vampires, creatures who survive on blood, and lurk mostly in the night. They, as well, did not seem to want to worship the Gods, as they were more interested in surviving. The Humans had quite an enterprise at this time, conquering every continent, and wiping out the competition. Humans were everywhere, in every corner of the world, creating a place for themselves. The Succubi/Incubi were not faring as well.
Angry that no creatures were worshiping them, the Gods created another race, the Weres. This particular race, could take on a particular form of animal. Their form depended on personal choice, and background. This creature pleased the Gods, for it was the most complex, and the race that seemed most interested in worshiping them. Still the Gods wanted more, so they created on last race;
The Fae. These creatures were mischievous little sprites, that loved to explore. They were not at all interesting to the Gods, and didn't want to worship them either. So the Fae, Weres, Vampires, Succubi/Incubi, and Humans existed in peace for a time....
The Outcasts
As the Humans advanced, and began to form empires, and worlds, the other races all congregated in America. They chose Connecticut to form their own civilizations in, and were very successful, even though the Humans ostracized them.
Eventually the Humans began to openly judge, and attack the other races, before all of them went into hiding...
The Death
The Gods became angry with the Humans and the way they intimidated the other races. With the other race's populations so low, it made sense to the Gods to wipe out the Human population, create a crisis to save the others.
Plagues were unleashed upon the Humans, so many that there was no way to cure them all, to stop them from wiping out the Human populations. Few Humans were spared from the death, everyone still living was affected somehow....
The Darkness
The so called 'monsters' of Bridgeport, Connecticut, are still hiding from the humans. The last remnants of the government have installed a policy to repopulate the world, thinking all the 'monsters' have died off along with the other Humans.
Most of the leftover Humans, are in Bridgeport as well, and so the government is focusing on use them to rebuild the world. Rebuild their lives. There are arranged marriages, in the hopes that they will be able to repopulate faster.
When night comes, the 'monsters' of Bridgeport come out to play, and with the judgements of the Humans still fresh in their minds, these races are very dangerous.
