Oakhouse Winery is located away from the main hub of town. Its rustic, Mediterranean architecture is reflected in all of its structures including the wine-tasting room and small café, both open to the public during the day. The landscape is beautiful out here, and makes for a great afternoon trip.

No New Posts La Rochelle Orchard

All sorts of fruit trees can be found at La Rochelle's! It's beautiful out here, too, away from the city with nothing but shady trees and expansive greens. Though of course the orchard serves commercial farming purposes, some of the grounds are open to the public for a small fee. It's a great picnic spot, and visitors are allowed to pick their own fruit from the trees.

Vineyards & Farmland
Much of the land at the outskirts of Saint Calais are devoted to various vineyards and their wineries, and orchards and farms. Out here the roads are less networked and some of them are unpaved, snaking across the vast countryside. Still, it's a beautiful scenic escape from the city, and it makes a great Sunday drive if nothing else.
